Could MCU'S ECHO bring something new to the table?

 WHAT IS ECHO ALL ABOUT?

After the events of Hawkeye (2021) in New York City, Maya Lopez, the deaf commander of the Tracksuit Mafia, is pursued by Wilson Fisk's organization. This pursuit leads her to return to her hometown in Oklahoma, where she must come to terms with her past, reconnect with her Native American roots, and embrace her family and community.

WHY AM I EXCITED?

The creator of this show, Marion Dayre, is best known for her contributions to Better Call Saul, which have earned her six nominations at the Writers Guild of America Awards and an esteemed Peabody Award. I believe Echo is in the right and capable hands to expand the franchise wider and carry the legacy forward, while also bringing our beloved Daredevil into the MCU.

WHERE DOES IT STAND IN THE FRANCHISE?

It is intended to be the tenth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios, sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. It is also a spin-off of the series Hawkeye (2021). This series will be part of Phase Five of the MCU and marks the 8th installment in this phase, which began with Ant-Man and the Wasp:

Quantumania early last year.

THE CAST

Alaqua Coz made her acting debut in Hawkeye in 2021, and now, three years later, she has her own show. Fans are eagerly anticipating Charlie Cox, who will make his second appearance in the MCU (after Spider-Man: No Way Home) as Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil. Not only that, but Vincent D'Onofrio is set to return as Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, after making a brief appearance in the Hawkeye series.

THE "MARVEL SPOTLIGHT" BANNER

Marvel Studios announced a new "Marvel Spotlight" banner for select series that focuses more on "grounded, character-driven stories" and less on impacting the larger MCU narrative. The studio explained that it was created as a way to indicate to audiences that they did not need to watch any other MCU projects to understand Spotlight series. The first series under the banner will be Echo.

Echo will have 5 Episodes and all the episodes will be streaming from 10th Jan only on Disneyplus Hotstar. Do check it out
